How did the couple meet, you ask? Allow me to tell you the enchanting story! The groom was bartending at a restaurant right across the street from where the bride worked; occasionally after work, she and her girlfriends would go for a drink to unwind after the stressful, busy days. After the first two times she went, the groom wasn’t there and she and the girls received less than ideal service. The girls all said, “UGH, this is why we only come when Greg is working! He knows exactly how we like everything!” The bride was left to wonder, “Who is this Greg guy? A bartender is a bartender.” Oh, how wrong she was.
When she finally met the infamous Greg, she was enamored with his conversation; she needed to know more about this guy! It all started with a bracelet. As many of you know, the Groom marched for the Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps in 2006-2009 and how important this experience was for him. The first time the bride met the groom, she noticed him wearing a bracelet that said “Bluecoats.” She couldn’t bring herself to say anything the first time but by the second meeting, she finally asked him, “Bluecoats? Did you march?” This sent the groom’s heart aflutter as this was an important part of his story. He felt seen and wanted to engage in a conversation as much as she did. It didn’t take long after that for things to really start ‘marching’ on! Soon enough the couple was infatuated with each other, spending little time apart.
